We had a film crew here at Ananda this past week, shooting scenes to make into a promotional video. Yours truly had a, ahem, cameo role, not once, not twice, but on three occasions! No-one caught my final wanderlust walking on camera though. I feel that this could be the start of something special.....
I have continued to meet some fabulous people, both staff and guests, and I consider myself super fortunate that I can travel in this way for work. There have been some real characters and we have had a lot of fun. Happily, I think that most are happy to stay in touch, professionally and/or socially. Or at least, that's what they said.
One evening, I went down to Rishikesh to watch the Arti light ceremony, that takes place nightly on the banks of the river Ganges (Ganga). It's quite something to see. As is usual for India, one has to dodge cows, cow poo, motorbikes and a million other distractions in order to get where you need to go in one piece. It's enlivening, but also exhausting, and it was lovely to be able to retreat to the sanctuary of Ananda.
If you have been trying to reach me, I have had email and/or wifi issues (I don't know which) so if I haven't responded, then do try again; I promise I am not ignoring you on purpose!
As ever, I post photos daily (ish) to instagram - come and join me there: annalovestheworld. Namaste x
